Feminine Tones, interior design shades for 2019
Maybe it’s because of the wake trailing the boom of
Living Coral, crowned Colour of the Year by Pantone. Maybe it’s because
pink is always so very
bon ton. Maybe it’s because
pastel shades manage to transmit the air of calm and serenity that we try so hard to bring into our homes. Maybe it’s because of all these reasons put together, but what’s certain is that
the 2019 design colour palette is ruled by
Feminine Tones, meaning every shade of pink from the palest soft pink to the deepest shades.

Pale colour matches
But now let’s go back to a world filled with
powder and pastel pink shades. If you have already decided that your new soft furnishings will have to follow this rosy colour scheme, the most fitting finishes for your bathroom units will be pale colours, tending ideally towards white.
Composition 1 of the Summit 2.0 Collection by Mastella is thus of interest and you can admire it in the photo below. Here the Just51 console in Grafite Pino Vintage and the unit with Ècru Mat carcass and fronts is a perfect match for the pale pink wallpaper. The elegant, bright look is also enhanced with the white of the
West washbasin and
Betty bathtub by Mastella Design.
Dark colour matches
The paleness of
pink walls is enhanced, as above, but also tempered by the introduction of a few nice
dark contrasts. In
Composition 3 of the new Smart.46 Collection by Mastella Design, which you can see in the cover image, the white bathtub contrasts pleasantly with the integrated washbasin with double bowls in Mat Ceramic Gray.
If you prefer
bold shades to muted tones, you can match pink walls with bathroom furniture in darker finishes, maybe even adding a beautiful black freestanding bath as a feature piece, like
Vov Black, the enticing and stunningly elegant version of one of Mastella Design’s iconic creations.
