Mastella style around the world: luxury villa in Miami

Mastella  /  November 16, 2017

“This is a stationary piece of art”: these are the words that Jacques Cohen, son and partner of architect Felix Cohen, used to describe the luxurious villa designed by his father in Miami Beach. A landmark of art overlooking the quiet inner bay with views of the Miami skyline on the horizon, featuring seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, a small spa, two living rooms, kitchen and dining room, library, wine cellar, media room and interior lift.

The exterior facades are a hymn to light thanks to the large windows that allow the sun to filter into every corner of the villa, whose walls are almost completely painted white in order to enhance the purity of the rooms: the contrast elements are represented by black window frames, by some wooden elements and of the lush garden with its intense and dazzling tropical green vegetation.

Inside, the symphony of white, black and natural colors is repeated in the same way, with fancy touches of blue, aubergine and golden bronze in furnishings and living room decor. The floor-to-ceiling sliding windows on the ground floor disappear in the perimeter walls, eliminating any barrier between the interior and the exterior: the living room thus transforms into a luxurious veranda and the unobstructed view of the bay and the garden, connected with the private dock and equipped with comfortable seating around the pool.

Undoubtedly luxurious and inspired by Miami’s “more is more” principle, the villa is decorated with exquisite taste and with an almost maniacal attention to detail, with a refined choice of every element, selected from the world’s most prestigious brands: from household appliances, to furnishings, kitchenware, textiles, and bathroom furnishings, provided by and cared for in every detail by Mastella.

The architect trusted in the quality and Made in Italy style to equip the villa’s bathrooms, betting on the refined elegance of Mastella’s products. The Anahita collection free standing bathtub was put in the master bathroom: thanks to its large form and “soft touch” surface, this bathtub’s captivating design inspired by the harmonious lines of the spiral gives a touch of elegance and is ideal for enjoying the magnificent view through the large windows in complete relaxation.

The Vanity Party bathtub sits in a second bathroom, occupying the place of honor on the raised platform; the model chosen by designer Felix Cohen, also made in Cristalplant, comes with a comfortable flat edge, ideal for supporting objects. In the same bathroom, the Vov vessel sink, inspired by the shape of an egg, matches perfectly with the oval shape of the tub.

TheKon free standing sink completes the series of selected Mastella products: also inspired by the shape of the spiral, it is an object of exquisite elegance, both in all white and in bi-colour versions, the latter coated on the outside with a “soft touch” effect paint available on request in all RAL colours.
